Nondestructive Investigation to Determine the Condition of a Concrete Slab, NSW (Q2 2015).
GBG Australia undertook a nondestructive investigation to map the steel reinforcement within a suspended slab, Sydney, NSW. The investigation was undertaken using Ground Penetrating radar using a GSSI Sir collection system with high frequency antennas and Hilti Ferroscan. In addition a calibration hole was performed to gain exact information on concrete thickness. A breakout at the intersection of two reinforcement bars was conducted to gain calibration information on bar sizes.
